Cornell - Media Tech Renaissance
Media, AV, brand creative, and full day-of show operations for Cornell Tech’s first-ever Media & Tech Conference
On April 25th, in partnership with students from the Connective Media Masters program, Cornell Tech hosted its inaugural Media & Tech Summit — bringing together creators, technologists, researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs to explore how content is being created, distributed, and experienced in new ways.
DVXI was responsible for the conference’s entire visual identity, media production, and day-of run-of-show execution, helping the Summit establish a professional standard worthy of becoming a standing annual tradition.
Overview
Objective
Create a polished, future-forward conference experience that:
Ran smoothly across all panels, talks, and transitions
Delivered high-quality AV and multi-camera recording
Established a timeless yet modern brand identity
Captured a full library of media assets for future use
Elevated the event to “Ivy League meets the future”
Integrated live interviews for The Big Red Show
Set the foundation for a repeatable, scalable annual summit
Approach
1. Brand Creative & Visual Identity
We developed a conference aesthetic inspired by Greek/Roman classical forms blended with modern technology — symbolizing the fusion of Ivy League heritage with the future of media and computation.
This creative system shaped:
The Summit’s opening video
Four chapter/segment videos introducing each panel
On-screen graphics, transitions, and lower-thirds
The visual language for speaker clips & promos
The result: a striking, recognizable identity that gave the Summit cultural and academic weight.
2. Event Logistics & Run of Show
DVXI architected and executed the full day’s operational flow:
Managed all speaker timing, backstage flow, and transitions
Coordinated with student leadership (Siyan Wang, Ayushi Kotak, Royi Rozen)
Directed volunteers and room operations
Synced program timing with hosts, panelists, and AV techs
Ensured on-time movement across a multi-track schedule
3. AV Direction & Technical Management
Designed a multi-camera setup for all panels and keynotes
Ran microphones, lavs, audio routing, and live monitoring
Coordinated with venue technical staff for projection and playback
Ensured all videos, segment intros, and slides played seamlessly
Our goal was pro-level AV — the kind expected at major conferences — with zero interruptions.
4. Media Production
DVXI led a full-scale media operation including:
Filming every session in multi-cam format
Capturing BTS, crowd reactions, environment shots, and ambient footage
Filming live interviews hosted by Christian Graham and Jay Agaskar for The Big Red Show
Working with Ayushi to create individual media assets & highlight clips for speakers
Managing backups and organizing deliverables for post-event archival + promos
The result was a comprehensive content library representing every facet of the day.
